Snack Time !

These pretzels from Stew Leonard’s are a family favorite! Today I decided to whip up a very quick and easy homemade cheese dip for the girls snack to go with their pretzels and they loved it! I thought I would share this simple, kid approved recipe here. I am all about making things fresh at home with no additives or food dye! Check out the recipe below!

Cheese dip

2 tbsp butter

1 tbsp flour

1/2 cup milk

Few handfuls of cheese ( I eye balled it )

I used a small pop over med/high heat. I melted the butter and added the flour. I cooked for about 1 minted until it was slightly golden brown. I added the milk stirring till it was smooth about 1-2 minutes. I let this thicken slightly. I added the cheese. I used shredded cheddar and Swiss because that’s what I had in my fridge drawer but you can use anything that melts. In just seconds the girls had a yummy afternoon treat food dye free!

Hope you enjoy this at home! This cheese sauce can be delish on so many things!!!
