This weekend I decided to do a little DIY decorating project in my kitchen! I love to write out my weekly dinner menu and have it displayed in our kitchen. I have always had it on my dry erase board, but I just needed more room. I had this great idea to repurpose an old picture frame and create a fun space on my kitchen wall. It was either going to turn out amazing or… I was going to be calling our painter for help. My husband helped me to pull the wood frame off an old picture and spray paint it sage green. I then painted the section of the wall in the kitchen with chalk board paint. This was the part I was nervous about. I knew that if it didn’t work, it would be hard to cover up. I had a vision, so I went with it. The paint dried and we hung the frame over the chalk board painted wall section. It looked perfect! Now I just need to plan my menu for the week and get to grocery shopping! This week we are giving up eating out as a family! Eeek that’s a whole lot of meal planning for this mama! Stay tuned for my upcoming blog post on our family lent sacrifice and my 40 days of meal planning!!!
